    Muscle pain & CoQ10

    The use of statins can block the production of CoQ10 – a vitamin-like substance found in every body cell which serves to produce energy and act as an antioxidant – resulting in mild to chronic muscle pain. Preliminary tests show that restoring levels of CoQ10 in statin patients with muscle pain may provide some benefit.
